My inspiration was Bobby Darin’s, "Mack the Knife” song. This 17" flapper sits on a collectible wooden car of the period. Lucy is one of a series of four flapper dolls I made representing Mack the Knife's girlfriends, Jenny Diver, Sukey Tawdry, Lottie Lenya, and Lucy Brown. Each doll is seated on a different wooden car of the period that my husband bought 30 years ago and donated to the project.
