This piece was entered in the Galveston Art League, 2006 Spring Open Juried Exhibition. The theme was, “Galveston, Oh Galveston,” and the artwork was to reflect Galveston’s unique culture, landscapes, cityscapes and seascapes, real or interpretive. I added some miniature seaside souvenirs and a mini flyer on “What to do in Galveston” to my “Summer Chit-chat” ladies and they became instant Galveston tourists. I was delighted when they were awarded First Place in 3-Dimensional Work!
